After Tree Dessert Cafe in SM City Baguio offers a cozy spot for those looking to unwind with a sweet treat and specialty drinks in a bright, casual setting. Nestled on the upper ground level with views overlooking parts of the city, the cafe catches plenty of natural light through tall glass windows, giving it an airy feel despite its mall location. This makes After Tree an inviting place to relax, whether you’re between errands or winding down from a day of exploring Baguio.

The cafe’s vibe leans towards a calm, friendly ambiance where locals and visitors alike often settle in for moments of quiet or casual chats with friends. It’s common to find people picking the window-side seats to enjoy the view and the natural light, making it a good spot for light socializing or working quietly on a laptop. The high ceiling and thoughtful layout create a sense of space that helps offset the typical mall bustle.

After Tree’s menu caters well to those drawn to creative desserts and speciality drinks. The Strawberry Basque Cheesecake and Shibuya Honey Toast stand out as visually appealing options that match the cafe’s aesthetic, while selections like the Strawberry Matcha Latte or the Butterscotch Frappe offer interesting flavor combinations that go beyond your usual coffee shop offerings. There’s also a selection of mochi desserts like the Taro Daifuku and Azuki Daifuku for something lighter and chewy. Hot chocolate lovers will find comforting options here as well.

Service tends to be friendly and personable, though during peak hours you might notice a slower pace, which is understandable given the steady flow of visitors within the mall. Prices are a bit on the higher side compared to standalone cafes, likely reflecting the convenience and location inside SM City Baguio.

Best times to visit are during off-peak hours when the place feels more relaxed and quieter—ideal for a peaceful break or a comfortable catch-up session without the rush. For those who value natural lighting and a cozy, well-curated environment to enjoy both drinks and desserts, After Tree fits the bill quite well.

Super cute cafe! After Tree Dessert Cafe is such a charming spot in Baguio — cozy ambiance, aesthetic interiors, and a great place to relax or catch up with friends. The desserts are creative and beautifully presented, and the drinks were quite good too. Service was friendly, though a bit slow during peak hours. Overall, a lovely experience and definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a cute dessert spot in the city! Most of the items weren’t available so hopefully next time, we can try the other items.

The shaved ice dessert is delicious! It might be better to serve it in a container that prevents any from spilling. When we dig into it, the ice flakes tend to fall off the bowl. Above all, this is a highly recommended place!

Location: at the corner of SM ground level. Stall or store is overlooking the baguio from atop. Place is well naturally lit and ventilated. Can be easily located. (5/5) Interiors: place is well planned and executed. Place is instagrammable, people taking the tables on the window side to have a great view. Have a high ceiling with the tall glass window which makes the place big and bright, features a modern contemporary or japandi type of vibes. (5/5) Food: just ordered coffee and a dessert so i cannot completely rate their food, but, coffee was great and creme brulee was cute and sweet. (4.5/5) Price: at the mid-high range not all may afford. But you're actually also paying for the serenity of the place especially when it's raining (come on it's Baguio ). On the other hand, they charge a certain percentage for service. (4/5) Service: they tend to your requests immediately, orders were served at once and immediately. (4/5) Overall: great place, great experience. Good plash to crash in especially when it's raining. Will be coming back for sure. (4.5)

We tried the iced caramel macchiato, and it had a really nice taste—smooth, flavorful, and just the right balance of sweetness. The frappe was also satisfying and did not disappoint. Both drinks were enjoyable and well-prepared. The prices are a bit on the higher side, which might be due to the location since it’s inside the mall. While it feels slightly overpriced for what you get, the quality of the drinks and the convenience of the location help justify it to some extent. The ambiance is also a plus. The space is clean, well-lit, and has plenty of tables and chairs, making it a good spot to relax or catch up with friends. It doesn’t feel too cramped even when there are a lot of customers, which adds to the overall comfort of the place. Overall, it’s a nice café to stop by if you’re in the area—especially if you’re looking for a quick coffee break with a cozy atmosphere.

I’ve been going to this cafe for a while now for several reasons - coffee is good, place is decent, always clean, ane is service is also good. For drinks, they have a lot of specialty drinks but even if I order the staple drinks in most coffee shops like Mocha and Spanish, taste is good. Not included in the photos but I have tried their cakes (most of the time their chocolate cake is moist and not too sweet) and their egg tarts (tastes like the famous ones in metro manila). For service, people are kind. I’m not sure when they implemented a 3 percent service charge. It is not included in the menu pricing, but was explained nicely by the cashier. When I need to get work done, this is my go-to in SM Baguio because it’s not too loud and the tables are clean. Because it has floor-to-ceiling glass windows, it can get a bit warm in the afternoons since Baguio isn’t always cold. Air conditioning may be viable fix but honestly, with the overall experience, it’s not a deal-breaker.

The prices lean a bit on the pricey side like those cafe in Manila, but the drinks and desserts are definitely great quality. The service is also very nice. I just don’t understand why there’s a service charge when I ordered takeout. The cup holder they gave me was pretty weak and couldn’t hold two drinks together, so everything tipped over and made a mess inside the paper bag. Thank you to the staff who gave me a new bag, but sadly, about a quarter of my matcha was already on the table. The interior is soft, warm, and modern with a Japanese-inspired feel. Overall, a nice place—with a few things they could improve.
